Review Enchanted Arms

The PS3 launch game Enchanted Arms is an RPG in which you travel through multiple destinations defeating countless foes. If that sounds same old, same old' then that's just because I'm only describing the RPG genre

Really Enchanted Arms has a good story; you control the character, a drop-out' named Atsuma and his friends. The entirety of your party can be changed into countless combinations as there are over 130 playable characters to put in your party. Most of which are Golem's' all with differing abilities and stats.

Without giving away any of the story at all, the story at the beginning few hours of play at least is simply finding out answers about yourself as strange things keep cropping up into conversations between characters. Some of these things you will be able to figure out for yourself in the glorious cut-scenes.

The battle system is pretty simple, it uses a grid' sort of layout, and you can move your characters around and choose different attacks for different circumstances. It may seem daunting and complicated at first but listen to the tutorials and soon you'll find that after just a few battles you will get the hang of it and will be slaughtering your opponents in no time!

The graphics aren't true next-gen' by any means but great to look at nonetheless, easily better than previous consoles encase you were worried. This could be (in part) because it was originally an X-box 360 game

Graphics: 7 - Great visual effects but not close to other, more impressive games.

Game play: 9 Not your standard RPG style game play which is why it sets it apart from the rest.

Online play: No

Lifespan: 6 Although a good 50 hours to complete at least, the constant barrage of battles can get boring and tedious.

Exclusive: No

Overall rating: 7 Very respectable game, great for fans of the genre.
