In 1990, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air made its debut, starring a rapper named Will Smith, who was a member of DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince. Will played himself on the show even though it's not his real life self. His mother wanted him to move in with his uncle, Phillip Banks (James Avery), Vivian, Phillip's wife (Janet Hubert-Whitten/Daphne Maxwell-Reid), their children, Carlton, Hilary, and Ashley (Alfonso Ribeiro, Karyn Parsons, and Tatyana Ali), and their butler, Geoffrey (Joseph Marcell). In 1993, Vivian added another addition of the family when she gave birth to Nicholas "Nicky" Banks. There were different changes on the show like the first three seasons, Janet Hubert-Whitten played Vivian Banks, but in the last three years, Daphne Maxwell-Reid took over. These were the same changes that The Jeffersons, Bewitched, Family Matters, The Young & The Restless, and Roseanne. These episodes went from Will's short jokes about Carlton, Phillip's tenure as a judge and a lawyer, Will's various girlfriends, Ashley's singing career, Carlton, stripping, Hilary's talk show to Carlton's Tom Jones dance. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is seen on Nick at Nite and on DVD. On a scale of 1 to 10, I will give it a eight due to the fact that Will Smith is very creative in character.
