I have not found my dream job yet. After I left my 1st company, I joined another but found myself disliking the way I was working. I had no authority to do certain things which I was the sole person responsible for. I had a few responsibilities but no authority. I was scared stiff of the lady boss which I couldn't understand why. After that I left when there was a slightly better pay.
I didn't have much responsibilities for this because all I had to do was to do well in my given role; I managed to pull through and stayed longer. However, when most of my friends left one by one for even higher pay, I was scared. I would be lonely without them and the work load would pile into my laps. The highly stressful environment made things worst because each and every mistaken caught would have a long written report. I got so stressed that I started to get careless. I had to leave.
I joined another via introduction by a friend. However, the place was not really suitable. Somehow, it felt cold and professional. Everyone was polite with each other but careful of what they were talking about. Politics was in the air. It added another level of stress trying to integrate. The work was routine which I thought was fine but it wasn't. I had no stimulation except that I had to report to work so that I could get the pay.
The struggle continues because I'm still looking for the perfect job that would give me the balance to work and life.
