they'll be better behaved, which again will help the stress even more. Simple life changes can make a huge difference on your level of stress. The book goes into great detail on different methods to control your stress, through meditation to other alternative practices. I generally just recommend that you do the things that you love. If you love to fish, go fishing. If you love to bowl, go bowling. Take the time to do the things that relax you.
Another major concept that the book talks about, and many others do as well... and I'm a HUGE support of is the detoxification process. The book mostly talks about detoxifying your liver, however, if you are going to detox your liver, you might as well take the time to do your entire body. Basically, the process involves avoiding the intake of anything that could contain chemicals for about a week. So essentially you would eat a lot of grains, vegetables, fruits, etc... while avoiding all processed foods. While you are doing this, you want to ensure that you are eating more than your daily recommended intake of fiber, in order to help flush everything out, along with a lot of water. If you are able to keep up on all of this... then you should find yourself not only losing weight, but feeling a lot healthier, and definitely less tired. The hard part is being able to stick to the diet for the period of time prescribed by it. Regardless, it's something that anyone looking to lose weight should truly consider.Detoxification can make a huge difference on your overall fitness goals.
Other topics
Other topics that the book covers include the rebuilding of the immune system through the taking of specific drugs and over the counter herbs and supplements. The author also goes on to talk about the different foods that you can eat which have been said to boost your metabolism, however I am unaware of even scientific proof to any of these metabolism boosting foods. While I'm sure that there are some that are naturally occurring, I wouldn't stick with anything until you know the truth about it.
Final Thoughts
If you are looking for some help in losing weight, this is definitely the book that you want to read first. The author does an excellent job of dispelling many of the common weight loss myths while at the same time showing you how to build yourself up, make yourself healthier, and essentially lose the weight.
