Recent Upgrade: A Definite Yes
I have recently upgraded my Office 2003 Professional to Office 2007. At first I was skeptic as many of the previous features which I have come to love were not readily available. But as a project I was working on in which I was transferring scanned documents into adobe and then to word came to a close I had realized something.
Word 2007 had learned me! You ask how is that, and truthfully I can not explain but as I was editing and typing and formating it seems to copy exactly what I wanted it to after about 5 pages. This to me was extremely helpful and turned a 12 hour process into about 6.
Access 2007 was a similar experience. As a Data Technician I was in charge of making a database that tracked all of our called and how much on hand gear we had. The premade templates that were included only required minimal changes to be exactly what I wanted. I was also able to import excel very easily into my database. Which was a slight harder task with 2003.
Excel also learned what I wanted and has ease of use with formulas and and other aspect I wanted. All the options could be brought up with a simple right click on any cell, very nice when you are formating many different cells.
As I worked with the rest of the Office 2007 suite I noticed that just because its user friendly doesn't mean its powerful. The ideas of Vista seem to be incorporated into Office 2007 and will make any office more productive with only little additional training. I recommend the upgrade to anyone.
