So you hate your tattoo. Are you fed up with all the "I told you not to get that tattooed on yourself," and the smug smiles from relations.
Well luckily there are a few things that you can do to help.
Firstly visit a 'good' tattooist. Show them your tat and ask their advise.
Tattoo artists know more about tattoos than any doctor, parent or wee wishing busy body.
They will be able to show you the designs that will cover up your existing tattoo and how it will look afterward.
If the tattoo artist advises it, you might need to go for laser treatment first to lighten the colors of your old tat.
A brief word of warning. Never, never, never get anyones name tattooed on your body. I don't care how much you think you love them now, you never know what the future holds. Similarly, do not get band names. Imagine how embarrassed you'd be to have 'Chicco' or 'The spice girls' tattooed on your arm when you're in your fifties. Just don't do it!
As a point of interest, they have just invented a new type of ink that can be removed much easier. Hopefully in the next few years we won't have so many people stuck with the constant reminders of a drunken night out.
