Get a seasonal job. Heres what you do:
Find a touristy area, you know, near a beach in the summer, at a theme park, in an ice-cream shop etc, or work as one of santas elves if its near christmas, an easter bunny at easter, get paid to hand out leaflts on the streets when there are concerts, do face painting or hair braiding, work in a popular tourist cafe, restaurant, bakery, chip shop, pub or nightclub - anywhere where there is a lot of extra business in the holidays, especially in the summer, and the businesses will need extra, temporary staff to cope with it. Often if you get a summer job near the beach, maybe in a surf lodge of backpackers hostel, it will be live in so if you dont live in a touristy area you wont end up spending a lot if you have to move to another town for this sort of work. Hotels mostly do the same - staff are live in so you dont need to rent anywhere, your room is part of your wages. This is great fun as you get to meet loads of new people, travel, and earn money.
