Experiences working for chacha.com

A little over a month ago, a friend of mine contacted me about a company she had been working for - ChaCha.com

As an all around freelancer, she knew I could always use some extra money and within a half hour of hearing about the new search engine still in its toddler phase on the web and everything it has to offer, I have an invite to become an Official ChaCha Guide sitting in my e-mail.

ChaCha is a completely different way to search the internet. Instead of going to a website, typing in what you're trying to find, and then becoming aggravated after searching for something you thought couldn't be that hard to find, but came up with no results that really helped you. When something like that occurs, ChaCha has the solution. With ChaCha, you are able to search with an expert guide who can assist you with your search and (hopefully) be able to find you exactly what you are looking for.

And that is where I come in! As an Official Guide, I help people (in the ChaCha world, called Info Seekers) search for whatever they are looking for. Sounds easy, right? Well it is. Not only that, but it's something you can do at whatever hour of the day you happen to have free time and you also have the opportunity to search topics you are generally interested and knowledgeable about.

When you first sign up to become a ChaCha guide, you are asked to answer a few simple questions, make an account, download the ChaCha guide application which makes it possible to accept searches, and watch a short and informative video on how the application and business works followed by a quiz on the video you just watched.

I wouldn't say that this is something I would do for free; however, the ability to make money doing something you honestly enjoy is as rewarding as a job of any kind can get. Not only that, but I have also picked up a substantial amount of information on an array of different topics.

I am ecstatic that I found out about ChaCha and becoming a guide, the only thing I regret is that I didn't find out about it sooner!
