Best pop and rock songs of all time

what she wanted in life, but no one can take a child seriously. Or maybe she's fighting her inner voice in "Conversations With My 13 Year Old Self." Pink lets that child free, letting her know that it won't always hurt and is facing her demons down. Heartbroken?

Not quite yet. "I'm Not Dead" is an anthem stating she is still alive and has made it this far in life. Along the way, Pink has found that even though she is tough, she is still sensitive and needs space but yet needs to be close to someone in "Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)."

-
"Go away
Give me a chance to miss you
Say goodbye
It'll make me wanna kiss you
I love you so
Much more when you're not here
Watching all the bad shows
Drinking all of my beer."

Aside all this frustration and self-pity, the real gem on this album comes in "Dear Mr. President." A very political, yet safe song. As American's, we have questions for the powers in office. We have a right to know what is going on. The war is a disaster, mother's have lost their son's in combat without saying goodbye, civilians make beds out of cardboard boxes and live off minimum wage due to a decrease in economy. Pink even touches the subject of taking a his daughters rights away if she were gay (Dick Cheney anyone?). Performing this song live can only bring a tear to your eye as still images play behind her in each rendition, because it's all the truth.

-
"How can you say
No child is left behind
We're not dumb and we're not blind
They're all sitting in your cells
While you pave the road to hell

What kind of father would take his own daughter's rights away
And what kind of father might hate his own daughter if she were gay
I can only imagine what the first lady has to say
You've come a long way from whiskey and cocaine."

If you're a fan so much as to order the European version, you will receive two songs not included in the US release. "Fingers" is a song that is about self pleasure, a very raunchy song at that - yet it is a tune that you find yourself singing along with.

Another memorable song is an actual hidden track called "I Have Seen The Rain." A song written by her father after the Vietnam War. Pink says "This is how I learned to harmonize and love an acoustic guitar." She recorded it for this album with her father.

After 40 plus songs recorded for this album, some of the best work may not even be included on the album. But rather included as b-sides on singles. A personal favourite is "Heartbreaker" featured on the "Stupid Girls" single CD. "Heartbreaker" displays Pink's artistic writing, and vocal ranges as well as a subtle power.

This album shows signs of maturity as a songwriter and I give this 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who is a fan, and a not-yet-fan. There is no dying down on this record and I look forward to future albums.
