the Wall Street Crash.
All of the factors I mentioned above have their own contributions to the Wall Street Crash and they are closely related, however I think that the problem of Overproduction was the main cause that triggered everything else that helped the Crash. If it had not produced too much consumer goods, then employees wouldn't have had to lose their jobs nor have their wages cut, they would still have a reasonable amount of money and the entire country as a whole would probably survive rather than end up as a complete ruin. And I also think that the Tariff Act played a big part toward overproduction alone aswell as the entire effect of the Crash. But that's not to say that it is the most important factor, it is simply the main trigger. The ridiculous buying and selling of shares was, I think, the most significant factor. It aggravated the economic depression that already began to happen because of overproduction. It was a huge risk that people could not afford to take. Literally. However, I still think that overproduction had to trigger the stock market for this to happen. The loss of confidence amongst share holders contributed to the "crash" itself, "crash" being a sudden and abrupt depression from the peak of a country's prosperity. But because any type of prosperity can only go so far before it starts going downhill, I don't think it was that much of a factor; the Roaring Twenties was going to end anyway. But perhaps without the incredible sale of shares from Saturday to Thursday, the end would've happened as a gradual process rather than a Wall Street "Crash". So to conclude: All of these factors closely intertwine but some are more important and significant than others.
