One of my dear friends has worked with Romano's for years and though a bunch of us converge there monthly, it has not and it not my first choice. Why? Because, when I crave Italian food, what I really desire most is bread. Great mouth- watering bread, served up with an olive oil and fresh minced garlic dip. That is what works best for me. Too many Italian restaurants meet the criteria of a good restaurant with a pleasant ambiance, delightful pasta dishes, well- maintained crowds, and even fine music, whether live or pumped through a speaker system, but they are lacking that one vital ingredient- the bread. The mouth- watering bread. You now, the bread you find yourself eagerly awaiting when you are waiting for your party's table to be called. What? You don't find yourself looking forward to that BREAD? Then please, I urge you to discover another Italian restaurant. An Italian eatery may have all aspects going for it to craft a wonderful restaurant, but if the bread is lacking, then you, my friend are, indeed, missing out. Missing out on a true dining out Italian experience.
