Now these days I was under the understanding that when a nationalised industry was failing to live up to the British publics standards or simply considered a waste of money and unable to compete with it's foreign and or privatised rivals it was either sold or privatised.
Not so the British Broadcasting Corporation (B.B.C).
The old dinosaur that uses the taxpaying public as a cash cow and give in return old comedy repeats, biased news and a question time so far up the politically correct brigades backside that it could probably taste what they had for lunch.
Gone are the days of simply kicking back and enjoying the B.B.C's flagship soap opera Eastenders which used to be removed from the humdrum of day to day life and was an entertaining escape into the ludicrous issues of larger than life characters with a bit of character about them.
Now of course Esatenders is all about dealing with social issue after social issue which are overcome by the characters using all the political correctness that the script writers can muster.
This rubbish produced by dear old auntie beeb is of course paid for by people that already pay tax to subsidise other nationalised industries.
In my humble view I think it's high time that the whole nature of funding for the B.B.C. is scrutinised and evaluated to see if it could be subscribed to or paid for by advertising and sponsorship.
No other service or product would be forced upon you without your consent and then make you pay for it by law or face a fine, so why is that the case for a broadcaster?
The only way I feel that the license could be justified is if the B.B.C. produced better quality programmes truly represenitive of the people forced to pay for it and not just leftist political propaganda that we are subjected to day in and day out.
So come on dear old Aunty produce something competitive in your schedules before the life support machine finally gets switched off.
