Barbara DeMarco-Barret's "Pen on Fire: A Busy Woman's Guide to Igniting the Writer Within" is an incredible book that I would encourage all writers, male and female to read and reread. Keep a well worn copy at hand on your nearest home bookshelf and refer to it regularly. It's a must-have for any writer who has found themselves facing the challenges of being a writer, with a family, social life, or our own inner demons. With inspiration that makes you want to begin writing before you even finish reading the first chapter.

This type of Book is good for...
Igniting the Writer Within. It really does live up to it's wonderful title and not just for women. This book could inspire everyone to tell the stories they have hidden away within them.

I especially liked...
Barbara's beautiful soft, friendly and encouraging voice. The book is full of her and the wisdom she has gleaned from other writers. Her love of writing is infectious and inspiring.

When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Write! I didn't even finish the book before it had me writing. I didn't even finish the first chapter. I read the first four chapters and did the 15 minute exercises at the end of each. Eventually I had to force myself to read the whole book and now I still go back to it regularly for inspiration.

This Book made me feel...
Fired up and confident. It reminded me that writing, while daunting, is something that I was made for. "If not me, who?"

I recommend this Book because...
It would make a wonderful tool to reinspire any flagging writer. Open it to any chapter, read the few pages (short chapters) and get your pen fired up for the 15 minute exercise and you'll find the muse dances for you.
