Poetry: Writing

Damn the pens that cannot think
and the cursor that sits

*and blinks*

the page unfilled is a curse and a bane, and proof of nothing ventured

or done.

Worse are the nights when the words don't stop; they spill and slide,
or else sputter and spin;

but I write on, with silent brain,
or one that won't stop screaming -

for those lines that escape take with them my baggage,

the lessons I've learned,

and the worries I farm.

    For Those Who Wait In Silence

    Writing, for now, is my lover abroad;
    Out of sight, but very much in mind.
    I hold it, caress it,
