Poetry: Life & death

by Alexis Jardin

Created on: January 24, 2012

Death,
trembling fear,
blissful relief,
sorrowful tears,
confirmation of belief.

Life,
laughing merrily,
painful event,
joking terribly,
listening ears allow to vent.

Space in between,
choices were made,
sins of life,
laws not obeyed,
eternal silence cuts like a knife.

Men fear all,
unending darkness,
immortal salvation,
wrongs of the past never confessed,
perhaps death, life and the space in between
should be met with trepidation.
