The impact of blogging has the potential to have a big impact on the news industry today. With most everyone having an equal opportunity to get to their computers, log on and dish on whatever subject they fancy, this new form of formerly forming ones opinion is breaking new barriers when it comes to the media.
There is even a more questionable line between fact and fiction these days. Researching over the internet has become more of a risky business than ever before. With articles written without not necessarily being researched or the writing itself having poor form, someone with a misinformed badly written article could inadvertently be bringing down the standards when it comes to the black and white print when it comes to the media.
This, however, is a free country and with that comes rights. It is ever websites right to set their standards where they think they are fit. What they must take into consideration, nevertheless, is that if a problem does arise for them but for the people actually writing the blog. Filters being put into place stop want to be bloggers from setting the bar so low that the government comes in and sets regulations. After all, it would be a shame to lose such a beautiful and honest freedom of expression. Blog responsibility for not only your sake but for the rights of everyone else who may or may not share your passion.
