Obeying A Nightmare
Repeating a cycle, a phrase or a word,
An attitude lived and a lesson unheard.
What's the allure, the gift that's received?
An empty promise, so easily believed?
So many years of neglect and abuse,
Remembering lies, the same old excuse.
Love yourself, the others will follow.
A human error, you're always left hollow.
Where are you going? Forget where you've been!
An imprisoned soul is the sadness of sin.
Reliving a life that's long since abandoned,
Wondering still how it all happened.
