He had been watching her for weeks. He knew everything about her. It wasn't difficult at all. People should really be more careful. If they were half as observant as he was, this wouldn't be so easy. Children’s squeals and laughter shook him from his thoughts as the school yard filled with excited youngsters. Scanning the sea of children he found the one he was looking for. He could pick her out from any crowd, anywhere she was. No matter how many people were around, it was almost as if she called him. With Great masses of wavy blonde hair and eyes that glistened like diamonds in the afternoon sun. Yes, that was definitely her.
Paying no attention whatsoever to her surroundings. Imogen was overjoyed with the success of her sixteenth birthday party that had taken place over the weekend and was delighted to be speaking of it with her closest of friends. Whilst discussing their antics and the events that occurred, nobody noticed the middle aged man behind the school fence. He stood pushed up against the fence leaning on an angle, with a somewhat smug half arse grin, one hand in his oversized indigo jeans pocket and the other lifelessly hanging down by his side.
For the past few weeks the man behind that fence had been walking by or standing by the fence with no one noticing his casual appearance, he would appear in various ways, either walking a chestnut brown Staffordshire bull terrier, reading the Daily Mail particularly the sports article at the back of the paper or just on a very steady walk alone. People never realised he was glaring across the playground; no one comprehended any of the actions this man would take.
It had been a lovely day, even better than a typical autumn day. The sky looked clear and was sprinkled with clouds. It was warm, but very pleasant. This day felt different. Whilst Imogen attended her final few lessons, he waited outside the school closely watching. Many mysterious thoughts ran through his twisted delirious mind. He was clearly attracted to her, she was unlike any other.
Her skin was almost the perfect light caramel shade, she had enormous pale blue eyes and her long wavy hair was blonde but glinted almost white whenever it caught the light. She wasn’t the tallest of girls but that didn’t matter because every time she laughed it seemed like she was keeping a secret and you wanted to know what it was. When she smiled, her eyes ignited with happiness and if you looked dead in them, you would feel the need to smile
