Adding an outdoor fountain to your garden, patio, or landscape design will enhance the beauty and tranquility of that space. Design styles and material options are almost limitless.

A large fountain makes an excellent focal point in a landscape design. You can create a Victorian style garden design by including a large fountain featuring a mythological god or goddess as part of its design. You can find large, impressive, three tier fountains with various decorative themes and designs that can be used as a focal point in any landscape design. Two tier fountains are available for smaller outdoor spaces.

Waterfall fountains are not only beautiful, they add soothing sound to the garden or patio. A waterfall fountain is an ideal addition to a meditation garden. Wall hung waterfall fountains are a wonderful way to create a peaceful escape on the patio or deck.

You can instantly enhance your outdoor décor with pedestal style fountains. You can find these in very simplistic designs that add sophistication to a modern landscape design.  For a more casual landscape design, pedestal fountains that depict children or animals drinking from the fountain or cherubs standing in the middle of the fountain are a popular choice.

You can easily find fountains with a religious theme if you wish to create a spiritual retreat area in your landscape. They are many fountain designs that add whimsy and humor to your outdoor décor. These fountains are an ideal way to add some quirky humor to the garden.  

You don’t have to have  a large lawn or garden space to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of an outdoor fountain. Wall hung fountains are available in styles that are exquisitely beautiful, designs that encourage relaxation, and styles that will add an element of humor to the atmosphere of your deck or patio. There are wall hung fountains available in cascading designs and styles that feature  the classic lion’s head or familiar sculpture designs. Lighted wall fountains add an extra element of serenity to your outdoor space.

If you live in an apartment, townhouse, or condominium where outdoor space is severely limited, there is still one more way to include a fountain in your outdoor space. Add a few tall plants or train a vine to a trellis to create some privacy on your patio or balcony.  Place a small table in front of the plants or trellis. Put a tabletop fountain on the table, possibly a lighted fountain, and you will have created a small but beautiful and peaceful relaxation area.
