Poetry: Hurting

by Lauren Dymke

Created on: January 23, 2012

Felt tip fingers softly, softly
Why is it your insides bleed, loved one?
Ache and heart hiccup.
You were never meant to be
A broken creature
A lonely creature
Bent down and brooding creature.
Don't stay small and sorry in that corner.
Breathe deep, loved one.
Step outside with injured limbs
The sunlight hurts, but you need it.
