I've given up
Right here and now
Just had enough-
Thrown in the towel
Grown sick of this
And tired of that
So here's my list:
I'm old and fat
In debt and broke
I know it's true-
I get the joke,
So don't be cruel
Life isn't great
For what I lack
At forty-eight
I can't get back
So here's the plan
That I'll submit-
With head in hand,
It's time to quit

Clouds drift by in a slow waltz
The November air catches your breath
Moving it upward in a silent mist
The wind howls outside
These walls keep it out
But deep with these walls
There is only despair
Walls cannot protect you

I have come to the conclusion
that my emotions cause some confusion
that I can't convey the feelings of love
