Reflections: My dog

The reflections of my dog is that life is so unpredictable. It is so fragile and we must learn to treasure life and relationships (especially those that we love).

In life, most of the time you do not know the importance of that person or thing to you when they are always there for you. But when they are gone or leave you, then you realise their importance and how much they had contributed to your lives while they are with you. This is what I learned most from my dog, Cebest.

Owning a pet offered me many advantages (as what I had just written about the rewards of having pets at http://www.helium.com/tm/22793 2), I have learned lessons and experiences which are unforgettable. To say that everything was a bed of roses with my dog is too good to be true. Just like any other relationships, there are good times and bad times. There are days where we found our pets to be a chore, especially at times where we were so busy and stressed up with the hassle of life. However, at times where we are feeling low, my dog is always there for me. He was the first one to notice it.

From shopping to bringing him home and then training him, everything took time, a lot of time. I remembered choosing him, after going to several stalls, and then have to compare him to another in the end. He was much more active and that was the reason why we brought him home. Bringing him home was so much fun and excitement for the kids especially. The first thing that we did was to find him a basket to sleep in - he was such an adorable small puppies that love to sleep. In the meantime, the family had to give him a good name. Cebest was given. The reason for choosing this name was because we wanted him to be the best dog we had. Name is important because it is something that the family and I were going to call him often. As you call him by his name, you want to feel proud of him. You want him to be good as well. So Cebest was really a good name for my dog.

The next thing that I did for him besides finding him a place to sleep was to put a 'ding ding' on his collar. When the bell around, I could trace his whereabouts. He was so curious about his environment and yet fearful at times. The children were fearful of him in the beginning as he would chase after the kids when they ran. However, soon through training, everything was not a problem. The children love the companion of the dog. There were times where the children and the dog play together and in role-playing as well! Those were the good times. When
