For cleaning windows, my absolute favourite cleaning product is dish soap. A tablespoon of dish soap (not dishwasher machine soap, though) and a liter/quart of warm water works wonders. The dish soap cuts right through grime and grease - which makes it especially fantastic when cleaning kitchen and bathroom windows.
If you're washing windows from the inside, put this mixture into an empty spray bottle, spray onto glass, and wipe clean with a squeegee (and a cloth for the edges). If you're washing the exterior of the windows, double the "recipe" in a small/medium bucket. If you do happen to have a couple of streaks after you finish, a couple squirts of vinegar and some newspaper will eliminate them pronto!
The best part about using these window cleaning methods - they are totally environmentally friendly, and create no waste. So, ditch your Windex and paper towels, and get your windows cleaning without messing up our planet!
