Craigslist is one of the greatest websites on the Internet. I've spent countless hours browsing the listings of my hometown, anxious to find that special "bargain." One can think of Craigslist as a sort of local, more personal eBay, where instead of bidding for an item, you simply email or phone the seller about your interest in the product. However, most items on Craigslist are exchanged in person, and you can actually see the product before deciding to buy it by going to the person's house to view it.

Craigslist has more advantages for people living in a larger city or metropolis since small towns either don't have a local Craigslist page or if they do, they don't have many listings. So if you live in a larger populated area, Craigslist is a good place for bargain hunting.

However, just like everywhere, you may encounter the occasional scammer. Just be aware of any fishy sounding emails. Craigslist moderators warn to stay away from sellers requesting money orders. Most Craigslist users only accept cash.

Just about anything can be found on Craigslist since most people are cleaning out their homes and getting rid of things. Just remember the old saying "One man's trash is another man's treasures!" and start browsing. Happy Hunting!
