Poetry: Winter blues

by ek ellis

Created on: December 24, 2011

Chilled to the bone can’t find warmth
Snow is falling a complete white out
When you think it might be over
Here comes the rain to start the
Winter blues all over
Comfort in a good book doesn’t help
The roar of a fire goes unfelt
When winter blues has become
Your friend
Bleakness all around where is the sun
You could use it now
Even it has trouble seeking to bring joy
Or comfort
Count the days on the calendar
For winter to be over
The bliss of others in love
With winter only makes you
Wish for spring to come sooner
When you can then say farewell
To the winter blues
