Days were so long,
Nights so short...
Yet, I never gave up
Based on man's report....
Winters seemed so cold
Bringing lots of chill
God's promises let me know,
Through His stripes I'm healed
Some are talking now
Yet, they do not understand
I've never relied on what others said;
Nor relied on any man
God made His promise to me
A day I simply can't forget...
Being His faithful servant,
Is something I don't regret!
He gave me a beautiful wife
Married for sixty years
When He called her home...
I shed so many tears....
Now God has called me home
Please don't cry for me
I didn't run this race alone
I'm in His bosom and finally free!
