My legs of steel, they do not feel anything amiss
I tread the pathway, toe to heel, coordinated bliss
Walks with me every step I take; I have a perfect pace.
Still quite upright, without a shake, I'm halfway done this race.
It's not a race that's won with speed, but confidence, aplomb.
I'll take whatever time I need, and never lose my calm.
And when I've finished, legs secure, I'll humbly take a bow
Thus proving balance undiminished. Give me a tightrope now!

Poetry: Balance

Walks with me

The Equaliser
Flagbearers of reality,
Sons and daughters of normality,
I salute thee, for all that's done,
To protect our triviality,
Balance
The long road or the easy way?
A lifetime’s fight or for the day?
A life of ease or one of pain?
The choice
