Behold my people,
born of letters.
Of hopes and dreams,
of fears and terrors.
Sentence and syntax
decide their state.
While pages and chapters
reveal their fate.
Denizens of Word,
designed by Description.
Embodied by Ink,
and fueled by Inscription.
As wielder of Pen,
their world is mine.
As slaves to the quill,
they follow my line.
Puppets of Story,
they know one imperative.
For these servants of Pen,
be creatures of Narrative.

Telling stories,
Weaving webs,
As children lay
Inside their beds.
Listening deftly,
The mind's eye keen,
Seeing new worlds,
