A teenage party should not contain alcohol, but that does not mean that the kids cannot have any fun. There are many great ways that teenagers can celebrate the New Year without drinking. Not only will they have a great time, but they will remember it.

Movie night

You can turn your backyard into a movie theater, suggests Birthday in a Box. Either buy or rent an inflatable movie screen and a projector, and place it in your backyard. Choose movies that your teens like and that are age-appropriate. You can put out lawn chairs or just let them sit on blankets. Include delicious party food like popcorn and appetizers. When the clock strikes midnight, you can project one of the New Year's specials on television.

Casino

Even though some teenagers are not old enough to gamble, they can still enjoy a casino-themed party. You can rent gaming tables or make your own games such as blackjack and poker. The kids can play for chips and redeem them for prizes. You can also have some kids act as the dealers. Offer raffles and other prizes throughout the night.

Dance party

A good old fashioned dance party can entertain teenagers for hours. Put on popular music from entertainers such as Justin Bieber. Get a disco ball and turn down the lights for the children. Clean out a space for dancing. At the stroke of midnight, everyone can celebrate with noisemakers.

Party Games

Various party games can entertain teenagers. They may like some of the classics such as Pictionary or Scattergories. Put them into teams or let them play individually. They can also play board games. Make some trivia games about important events during the year to help celebrate the New Year.

Beach party

A beach party can be a fun way for teens to celebrate New Year's, even if they live miles away from the coast. Buy beach-themed decorations such as inflatable palm trees. Offer coconut drinks and other beach-themed food suggests Teen Party Ideas.

No matter what type of activities you have, it is important to offer plenty of good food and (non-alcoholic) drinks for the kids. Give them fun teen-friendly fare such as Bagel Bites and mini-pizzas. Also, just because they cannot drink alcohol does not mean that you cannot serve delicious drinks. Make virgin daiquiris, smoothies and other fun drinks.

With planning and effort, you can make a fun New Year's party for teenagers without alcohol. Try one or a variety of the above ideas when planning your event.
