The 2012 BMW X1, more accurately the 2012 BMW X1 xDrive28i, shines brighter than the older dad-wagon, a similarly equipped but more expensive 3 Series Touring. Unlike the 2008 BMW M6, the X1 is not the ultimate sports car look that seats one or two persons but is a lighter wagon than the 328i wagon.

According to BMW, the XI is the new formula for joy. It is defined in a simplistic statement: Agility + Elegance = Joy. Rising lateral lines give the model an elegant yet dynamic shape while short overhangs and a sloping rear windscreen gives it the elegant sporty look. At the front, the distinctively shaped bonnet as well as the three-eye look of the headlights reveals its identity as a BMW car model.

The driver is at center stage in the BMW X1 interior as the entire cockpit is oriented towards the driver. The clear lines focus the driver's attention on the road ahead and the interior is reported to be ergonomically sound and everything in the cabin designed towards intuitive operation with the maximum feel-good factor.

With a starting price of just $38,500, the 2012 BMX X1 looks definitely more stunning and eye-catching than the aged 328i. Although this European made stunner has the look of any wagon with an aggressive snout, an impressive long hood and a behind that looks like any larger X3, it is definitely easier to climb in or alight from.

This XDrive all-wheel-drive system is a 2.0 litre turbo four-cylinder that puts out a snappy 241 horsepower with an eight-speed automatic transmission Strepsonic. You may be foregoing the 3.0 litre in-line six-cylinder engine in the 328i, but a single twin-scroll turbo-charger propels the X1 to a hundred kilometers an hour in just under 7 seconds.

The car is defined as sheer intelligence that lends towards power and agility as the system automatically adapts to the terrain the car is traveling along. Maximum traction is guaranteed whether the car is driven along a twisted road, climbing up a hill or tackling slippery surfaces.

The start up of the four-cylinder may sound embarrassingly loud, unlike the the in-line six that sounds definitely more classy. The engine runs on either petrol or diesel.

If you would like to configure your X1 of arrange for a test drive, you may request aid from BMW companies in your region here. With the X1, you are guaranteed simple joy of experiencing sheer elegance and agility.
