How to prosper spiritually while ministering to others

Spiritual prosperity in service to others

To prosper spiritually we must first look at what these words mean to us. What is Spirituality or Spiritual Awareness and what is prosperity?

Spirituality is a knowing of the Spirit. It is a connection to those things not material in essence but on a higher plane of existence. It is an inner awareness of the cosmos, the universe, that connection that we are all part of the energy that connects those things together. Spiritual awareness is a knowing of all things coming full circle and accepting that they are one.

Prosperity or prospering is to be filled with abundance or to exceed your expectations, to achieve riches in many different ways. We prosper in love when we are blessed with love for our family and friends. We prosper in our careers when we work hard to achieve a higher salary or when we get a promotion. We prosper when we find the perfect mate or partner. To prosper doesn’t necessarily mean we have to have material things but that we can also prosper spiritually in faith and hope and love.

As a spiritual being it is our nature to work in service to others That is who we are. Some of us do not realize this until we are much older, some who are faith filled from an early age will see it sooner. Working in the ministry has always been a part of my life. From the young age of six I have been a servant to the Higher Power and I have worked to serve his children.

Last year I had a dream where Christ appeared to me and said that I should take care of the children. I struggled for weeks trying to figure out what it meant. It was so real. One of my close friends said it wasn’t necessarily that it meant I should care for small children but that it meant all of God’s children.  She said I should listen because he was giving me validation that he was calling me to share his message with others.

As we minister to others we grow in the love of the Spirit of God. When we work to help others heal and mature in the spirit it helps us to prosper with goodness and harmony. As we do good so then does good come back to us.

I’m not a college educated minister even though I have attend the Seminary.  I am a lay minister. I accepted natural gifts given to me by God as a young child. I use those gifts to help others. Through this I prosper in abundance of love, comfort and joy from God. He fills me with light and even when I am in my darkest hour I still prosper.  Because I know he is with me.
