How to improve conditions in distressed inner-city neighborhoods

How to improve conditions in distressed inner city neighborhoods? well i hope more politicians and business leaders would think about this issue and come up with plans. In my humble opinion here are some things which can be done to help.

#Jobs and Businesses: Encourage more business to open shops in the inner city locations. That way young people there will have chance to get work and have money to support their family. This will help reduce poverty in the area and also help the economy.

#Education: Invest in inner city schools and provide the kids with job trainings, marketable skills and also have programs to keep them in school. Curb the drop-out rate.

#Security and community policing: Increase funding for community Policing efforts and also have programs for young people so that they stay away from gangs, drugs and guns. Have programs like Big Brother Big Sister encourage friendship and positive attitude.

#Community building: Organizing programs to bring the community together so that the racial and economic divide is lessened. With strong community there will be less problems like gangs and violence.

Inner city neighborhoods are not lost cause. We can still save them and we have to.
