My Grandmother

She is one of a kind.She is very strong,kind,well known,hard worker,and very respected.She never has given up on any task,and she taught me the values on how to be a woman.

She raised me when my mom had no time for me.She could have very easily,sent me to a foster home or something,but she took up my mothers slack.She took care of my little granny(her mother)and fixed all her meals and did all the house cleaning by herself.She worked a full time job,which sometimes involved her having to walk to work because she did not have the money to drive a fancy car,and sometimes hers worked and sometimes it didn't.Plus,any time anyone needed her she was there with her hands to help.

About 5 years ago she became blind because her diabetes took the best of her.She refuses to move into the house with any of her family,because she wants to stay in her own home.She has it memorized.She was taking her own baths,taking herself to the bathroom,washing her own clothes,and even taking care of her dog named you-know.(weird name I know)

She fell about a 6 weeks ago and hit the back of her head,and caused it to bleed.She broke her hip and her arm.She could not find the phone and so she finally wiggled to the phone to call for help.She has went through all kinds of surgeries,and a hip replacement,and she is up and gping again.She is the most strong willed woman that I have ever met.I hope that one day I can be half the woman that she is.My role model,is my grandmother.A single mother of 5,a grandmother of 8,and a great grandmother of 6.She is one of a kind.
