When it comes to cornerbacks in the NFL these days, very few can match the accomplishments and talents of the Denver Broncos' star cornerback in Champ Bailey.  Bailey has been in the National Football League since 1999 and each and every season since then has been a Pro Bowler and has been one of the best players at his position.  His extreme talent can attest for the ten Pro Bowls that he has been in, a NFL record for cornerbacks.  He is also the Denver Broncos career leader in interceptions.  There were several seasons where Bailey did not allow a touchdown from his cornerback position.  Bailey has been able to shut down the best wide receivers to ever play the game.

Champ Bailey had a very stellar career at the University of Georgia which seen him go on and be selected in the first round and with the seventh overall pick by the Washington Redskins.  His impact on the Redskins was immediately felt from his rookie season when he was one of the best defensive backs in the league and helped lead the Redskins to the NFC East title and a first round win in the playoffs.  It was in 2004 that Bailey was traded to the Denver Broncos for star running back Clinton Portis and since then has blossomed into one of the best players to put on a Broncos uniform and that can be said true as he has been recognized as one of the Greatest Broncos of All Time.

Year and year out, Champ Bailey has been one of the best defensive players in the NFL.  For the past 13 seasons he has been able to shut down some of the best recievers and it is even evident that he can do it today at the ripe old age of 33.  Bronco Hall of Famer John Elway is the vice president for operations of the Broncos these days and he knows of the talent of Champ Bailey as he has awarded the star with a four year contract extension.  17 years as one of the best players to ever play the game?  Champ Bailey not only will be a Bronco Hall of Famer but he will also be a player that will be enshrined in the National Football Hall Of Fame in Canton, Ohio.  Hands down, Champ Bailey is one of the best defensive players to ever play the game of football.
