Like a light that flickered when loved ones were near
An absence well noticed by those that are dear
That knowing that someone has departed from us
In our hearts, their passing is both heavy and unjust
As we look into the faces of those left behind
The friends, the family and acquaintances, kind
The level of sorrow runs deep through the room
As the Funeral takes another from a mother's womb
Together we mourn and comfort those that need most
With the ceremony paying respects to the Holy Ghost
And as we bury our beloved with the utmost respect
We also celebrate their life within a community reflect
