There are various reasons why people travel alone. Maybe they are single and don't have a friends to travel with or they want completely independence during their travel. Traveling alone is not a sign of feeling lonely; it gives you more opportunities to meet new people and even to make a new circle of friends.

There are many possibilities to meet people when traveling alone and an organized with a tour leader is often a good solution for many singles. I prefer this way of travelling because this option offer also other advantages. Touring in group offer the advantage you travel with people who are interested in the destination and a guide will show you the most beautiful places of interest and can help you with language problems.

Social contact is quite easy; most travelers in your group will share their travel experiences with you. It is possible that many members of your group are married couples but this is certainly no reason to feel lonely. They are likely to talk with you and even give tips which may help you in searching interesting destinations or even experiences with our organizations. There are also organized travels for singles; you travel with people who are in the same situation. They like to travel and to visit interesting places and they want to meet new people. Touring in group can be the start of making a new circle of friends and maybe you decide to meet each other regularly and it is possible the start of a lasting friendship.

There are more options if you travel alone. Not everyone likes to tour in group and they book a flight through a travel agency or online. It is possible to have language problems during your travel and it is wise to buy a travel guide or a language phrase book and you can best learn the most important ones before you take your travel. This can help you if you start a conversation with the locals. Mostly you don't have problems if you speak and understand English but some knowledge of the native tongue of the locals is always useful.

Traveling alone is easier to make contact with locals. You are alone when you reach your destination and you have to take decisions by yourself. If you arrive in the hotel, you will meet the hotel manager, the hostess, waiter and even the desk clerk. You need these people to gain the information you need and you are immediately in contact with other people. It is easy to meet people in your hotel. Every time you walk from your room to the dinner room, you will meet other travelers and
