Armani Code Sport is a bolder, fresher variation on the classic Armani Code for Men. Released in June of 2011, this cologne for men was accompanied by a sexy campaign accentuating the attraction of a male body, featuring half-naked male models and the female models looking on adoringly. One ad, specifically, features a suggestively nude twenty-something man by the midnight pool, with his privates hidden only by a strategically placed figure of a woman in a partially-unbuttoned dress slightly off her shoulders, her naked back facing the audience and the profile of her head shielding the lower half of the male's body from the audience's innocent but curious gaze. The pool overhangs the glowing skyline of Los Angeles at night, speaking both of daring summer nights and the passion that is just within the featured couple's reach and just with out the intrigued audience members' sight line.

The fragrance, portraying danger, lust and plenty of sexual attraction, is a big statement in the series of the Code fragrance. With its concept, "intriguing, mysterious, desirable", it hardly speaks of a scent that can be barely noticed or that disappears in a matter of a couple of hours after application. On a contrary, it lingers for a while and is truly memorable as it is not like any other typical upscale "sports" fragrances. This scent is truly unique and truly desirable in its uniqueness.

Its smell is a combination of scents that enliven and invigorate one's scenes. With a hint of mint, this cologne has stronger scents of lemon, mandarin, ginger and gray ember. As exotic as it is bold and in-your-face, the cologne is notable for its warmness of the scent and its deviation from the usual cool, but dry and distant scents of other male colognes. This one has a very aromatic, with the warmth of wood, composition and is pleasantly playful and almost feminine without being overbearingly so. This cologne is, truly, designed for a twenty-first century man, who is not afraid of crossing the boundary of what is traditionally accepted of a 'man's man' but daring to be riskily sexy in a whole new light.

The packaging remains true to the line of other Armani packaging for men's colognes with an additional understated hint of cool infused to portray the chic but simple 'sports' theme - simple brushed metal cap with somewhat sharp angles, metal black bottle without any additional decorations or frills, except for the white and red Armani Code Sport logo at the lower third of the bottle. The bottle speaks volumes of the image the cologne is trying to portray and the audience it seeks to appeal to with its elegant simplicity. Not for an average Joe Schmoe, Armani Code Sport reflects a luxury brand that Armani, as a whole, established itself for and still stands for to this day.

Armani Code Sport is a perfect summer scent, hence its many ads featuring summer nights and scantily clad models and the cologne's strategic release date in June. Everything about this cologne speaks of ripped bodies and of as little clothing as possible. It is a young, hip, yet sophisticated scent that celebrates that time of year where all the sport activities and all the stringent work outs pay off to let the young and the beautiful shed their clothing and show off their skin. Summer and Armani Code Sport go together like bread and butter and this cologne will be sure to become a summer classic for the young and the hip male twenty-somethings.
