In a multicultural world it should be understood that there would be multi-faith relationships and families. Though some will strictly forbid it in their families and even in their churches there are a large number of individuals who are accepting and understanding of the multi-faith family.

First and foremost we must have understanding of the coming together of multi-faith families, because after all we have inter-racial families all over the world. The stigma that once was associated with people of different races marrying has long been dissolved, to a certain degree and in most countries.

Civil communication and allowing others to express themselves is important to our world evolving and growing to meet the ever greater need to help each other as our world and universe changes right along with us.

After all, we cannot stay in the 80’s forever. Can we? Evolution is a given and just as expressions change, clothing designs change, mode of transportation changes, other things change as well. Our beliefs, our faiths, our awareness of who and what we are and how we came to be.

Keeping an open mind is crucial. Allowing others to express themselves with out fear of condemnation is part of that human growth and development. It is also part of the Spiritual growth and development. We all came from the same place.

God is many things to many people. He gave us free will to choose and to express our  beliefs with the deepest of conviction. God is aware of who and what we are and he loves us all unconditionally.

Multi-faith families can create a stronger awareness of the diverse cultures that our world presents to us. As an American it would be great for me to learn and study about those who live in Africa. What a joy to learn and know how their faith builds hope and a deep spiritual connection with God. I think it would be amazing.

Allowing the possibilities of how much our children and their children could learn and what they would be able to give back in the future is another benefit of multi-faith families.  Our world depends on how well we can evolve in all areas not just in some.

We are amazing creatures with the capacity for great things. We know how to love, have compassion, have sympathy and empathy. We care for others, we create and bear our children with an enormous amount of faith and love.  So why can we not have the capacity to share in our faiths and as well? Sharing our faiths and beliefs allows us to grow and mature as we are meant to. It keeps us from becoming extinct.

I have met many people through out my time in the ministry. I have also learned that even though most think that we are all different, we are actually all more alike than we know. Most, not all, but most all world religions have something in common, an Infinite Creator.

I am married and live in a multi-faith family. I have been married for sixteen years. It has not only made us both stronger but it has allowed us to be more open and connected to God than we ever were before.

I encourage you to at least give others of different faiths the opportunity to share their beliefs, express themselves with out fear of harm or judgment, and accept that there are truly infinite possibilities to what God has blessed us with. Remember that there is always two sides to what our world presents, good and bad, dark and light, and that there is strength in numbers.  Multi-faith families make us stronger in our awareness and beliefs. Joined together we are invincible and it’s just possible that with that we can have true peace.
