When I registered to vote for the first time, I was asked to produce my ID. I expected no less. When I went to the library for a card, when I applied for a driver's license, when I opened my first checking account, at every turn in life, I've been asked for my ID. If I get stopped by a police officer, I expect saying that I have a license and live at such and such, won't suffice.
The elections in 2008 gave off the distinct odor of wide-spread voter fraud. It was a toxic smell that retched the gut of most Americans. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Chairman Mao, all voted in the 2008 election. Thousands of dead people across the country voted in that election, yet their graves remained undisturbed.
While many states do require voter ID, many more do not. The reason for this is to ensure that their candidates get elected whether by citizens long since departed, or illegal aliens.
The recent call for voter ID was not prompted by the many ACORN workers who have been tried, convicted and sentenced to jail. Democrats have released a documentary on voter fraud in the 2008 election. This group of Democrats initially began the investigation into wide-spread voter fraud in the Democratic Primary in order to debunk the story. What they found broke their liberal hearts. Their party's candidates had been the victim of voter fraud by members of their own party.
It has come to the attention of law enforcement, that some Democratic candidates didn't even have enough legal signatures to get on the Democratic primary ballots.
It is important, especially in a Republic that the people's voice is heard. The left has demonstrated their desire to win at any cost. Strict voter ID laws imposed nationwide would put an end to the rampant voter fraud which has attacked our election's integrity.
Many liberals argue that a Voter ID law would harm the elderly and poor. This is false. The elderly and poor who are citizens do have ID. You can't get Social Security or welfare if you do not have an ID, unless you are an illegal alien.
People against Voter ID laws are the type that want everyone to vote early and often. We are a one vote Republic and must remain that way. Stuffing the ballot box, as was the case in the 2008 election, is now and will remain a criminal offense.
We do not need a repeat of ACORN's assault on Americans' right to a clean election. What we do need is a strong Voter ID Law to be implemented in every state before the 2012 election. Implementing Voter ID laws in every state will assure patriotic Americans that every politician wants an honest election, both on the right and on the left.
