I think is it very important to have term limits to replace the life-long politicians, who now sell and profit off the positions they control in both houses. Some of us watched the 60 minutes show when they did a story about how members of both houses use their positions to profit in and out of office.

It’s sad to see how bad things have gone in our nations capital when the very people who we elected into office don't watch out for our best interest. Now forget who they work for and why they are in office.

What happened to being a good public servant and just serve the country? When running for office most of our politicians run on the campaign of change. But as soon as they get into office they forget about the peoples problems and only concern themselves with becoming rich or richer.

Now is the time to get back work of public service and not let big business, special interests and other groups control our country. It’s rare to see or read about a member of Congress or Senate just being good public servants. Unlike today’s leaders who gave themselves pay raises almost every year while most Americans are just getting by.

This is why I think it would be a great idea to have term limits for both houses.

For example let Congressmen serve not more then 4 terms and Senators serve no more then 3 terms. When you take out the special interest role in government just maybe we can get back to what’s good for the people.

The United States has many difficult decisions to make in the next few years and we need our government leaders to do what’s best for our country. I think letting our leaders lead and focus on getting the country back to a position of strength.

Right now most Congressman and Senators are always running for office and out fundraising and not doing the job they were elected to do. This is why we must have a term limit bill in place very soon.

That will give them enough time to pass policies they believe and will keep special interest our of our government affairs.

It will not stop every problem we are having in government but it would be a great start.

Let’s take back our government and let our so-called leaders understand that they work for us the people of the United States of America.
