What believing in God means

by Steve Marshall

Created on: December 07, 2011

The reason that anyone does not believe in God is because basically they are feeling the pain of holding onto this non belief simply because this non belief has been created not by God, but by themselves. There is no pain within love, if it is always being seen through the eyes of that same love.

The reasons that anyone doesn't believe in God are always because of their own created reasons, and these have nothing to do with whether God exists, or not. Belief is not as important as knowing God personally by dropping this non belief, and reconnecting back into the oneness by loving where you are, and love then opens the door for you into seeing God.

This article with that little lead-in, will now explore what believing in God really means.

Belief is fundamentally a way to remove your fear in order to see what is underneath it. The atheist is afraid of what they might find, but the believer believes in the fundamental goodness underlying all things, and calls this God. When a person's belief becomes justified by their passage through God's love, rather than through their own created fears, they find truth rather than continuing to hide it from themselves by their false belief that the truth of God is non existent, or in other words meaningless, to them.

God exists to all, to the atheist, and to the believer alike. The atheist is just too afraid to believe, and the believer too afraid not to believe.

The underlying psychology is the same then, but the believer can move across to knowing God's truth, and then living from it, whereas the atheist will continue to oppose the truth, until it hits him over his head in some way or another during his life. An experience like this will often shake atheists awake and this will cause them to finally doubt their own beliefs about atheism and perhaps then move across to the other side so their spiritual journey on the believer's side will then begin in earnest.

The path is always the same path of course though. It is just the viewing of it from the various opposing beliefs, and types of attitude that are being held, that will often then see only what it wants to see, rather than seeing the real truth, that is always there. Love always reveals its truths, and it is only ever fear that can block us from ever being able to see them.

What does believing in God really mean to anyone else, who is observing the person who is holding this belief?
