I don’t get it
And because I fashion poems
I will use political poetry
To reveal a few annoyances
I don’t get it
The greatest of my frustrations
Concerns democratic societies
Where citizens have lost their power
I don’t get it
Why people complain
Then do nothing
To make things change
I don’t get it
The forfeiting of votes
Then crying in disgust
When rights are revoked
I don’t get it
Why politicians claim
To work for the people
Yet only help Rich Lane
I don’t get it
Why you’d vote against your interest
By allowing brainwashers
To tell you what is for your best
I don’t get it
Why people fail to think
When digesting biased info
Their minds become bare links
I don’t get it
But I imagine
This piece of poetry
Shrinks as one in millions
Of other political poems
Written by baffled poets
Wondering how the world
Develops the way that it does

There is a lot to look forward to,
