How to program yourself for success

The feeling of self worth and importance becomes very illusive as it is the tendency for us to continuously focus on our failures and disappointments. - and tend to disregard our successes and conveniently pushed them into the back seat.

We always act in a way that is consistent with our self image. Assertions and efforts to change our behavior through " will power " , "positive thinking " and "affirmations " have been observed to run into walls and dead ends . These approaches will not work until we change our concepts of ourselves.

"Positive thinking "and "will power "are guaranteed to fail, leading us to disappointments and frustrations, unless the self image is fundamentally changed.
You can change your self image and by doing so change your behavior and your feelings. The key to better living is in your hands. This psychology of success is a program for developing your self image you can live with, one that will lead to self confidence and success. It will enable you to add more living no matter how old you are.

Thirty years ago , Dr Maxwell Maltz observed that our self image is the prime factor that contributes to our success and well-being . Today, this conclusion has been validated and strengthened by solid scientific evidence. We shall examine these concepts and see how we can build a new positive and realistic self image, consistent with the person you are and the person you want to be.

We have discussed earlier that the human brain is the servomechanism acting as our automatic guidance system. It can lead us to success or failure depending on how we program its input. It homes in on the target our minds establish as it responds to correct errors on the way. If your servomechanism is "homed in" on targets of success, the result would be success. If it has no goal to seek, the results would be dismal failure.

Your self image determines and sets the limits of what your servomechanism can aim for. So if you keep saying "who are we " , your servomechanism will have nothing to aim for and you will be forever doomed to be stuck in your " who are we " paradigm . There is no possibility for your internal guidance system to reach any other outcome. You have programmed your servomechanism to home in on failure.

We shall examine how your subconscious mind, which contains all the fundamental assumptions about yourself, is programmed by your conscious thinking mind. Understanding this will enable you to follow simple steps to reprogram the way you think about yourself
