The colors of fall and winter 2011 are bold, bright and definitely not for the faint of heart.  To the fashion-forward extrovert these vivid hues are a living Technicolor dream.   The classic introvert however, may feel that these exuberant colors more closely resemble a living color-coded nightmare.   Looking fabulous while donning the latest trends in fall and winter brights, can be easily achieved by cleverly mixing these lively hues with classic neutrals.   The following are a few examples of how a bit of creative ingenuity can produce fashion-savvy looks.

The Sunlight Yellow Trench Coat - Nothing brightens up a dreary fall day more than a cheerful, yellow trench coat.  When combined with a neutral beige/ brown top and trousers, this bold color can be gently dressed down into a pretty accent piece.  Wearing stylish animal print patterned tops can also look fabulous, while simultaneously taming this bold hue into a calmer state.  When topped off with a stylish gold cuff bracelet, thin leather belt and a basic brown envelope clutch; this chic look is primed and ready to be seen.

Pretty in Fuchsia - A pretty fuchsia top that’s worn with a sleek pair of navy pants and smart navy pumps can create a fabulous look for daytime wear.  By adding a vibrant yellow clutch, a large silver-toned cuff bracelet, or a sparkly over-sized ring; one can very easily transform this ingénue style into a feminine, city chic look that’s perfect for night time fun.

Fiery Orange Skirt - Inject a bit of life into a casual daytime outfit by wearing a tangerine orange skirt, and a basic black t-shirt that’s loosely layered with a navy denim shirt.  Then complement this outfit with a brown cross-body bag and leopard print flats for a casual, city style.  One can easily dress up this look for night time wear in a few simple steps.   Simply trade in the animal print shoes for a pair of pretty gold metallic flats.   Then exchange the casual tee and navy denim shirt for a zipper embellished, asymmetrical peplum denim jacket.  To complete this edgy style, accessorize with a gold metallic handbag and sparkly orange/gold button earrings.

Simplicity in style always creates a classic and elegant appearance.  However, by cleverly introducing a bit of pizzazz, (with the stylish use of colorful staple pieces) to even the most basic outfit can create smart, and classic modern looks; all of which that could easily appeal to every woman’s unique personality and style.
