My prayer list comes from my inner self,
Way deep down from my heart,
Not from off a higher shelf,
But one that offers an affirmative start,

My hopes and dreams God already knows,
Nothing I can add but believe with faith,
Say my affirmations as he taught us,
From the words in red he hath saith,

Our father who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven,

A small verse to the lord I pray,
That puts me on my path each day,
That all things are possible on the list,
If I do not pray with clenched fist,

Forgive me of my trespasses this day,
I will forgive those who trespass against me,
For what the future holds for us as I pray,
Will be on that prayer list for all to see,

Hear me oh lord I do pray,
Lead me to the things I must say,
Grant me these things that my heart does wish,
 And help those that are on this list.
