Currently there are 3 male impotence drugs to choose from. Which, however, is the right one to choose? The 3 drugs for erectile dysfunction currently are Viagra, Levitra and Cialis. Below is a discussion of all three. Similarities, differences and side effects will be mentioned.
Viagra is the old standard of male impotency drugs. It currently has 90% of the US market. It has been tested thoroughly, so as a result there's a lot known about it. In comparison to the others, its onset is slightly slower and its efficacy lasts for approximately 4 hours. It also seems to be the one that has the most side effects as well, affecting eyesight in different ways, fertility and headaches to name a few. Levitra, a newcomer, is similar to Viagra in its efficacy. Its onset is slightly quicker and it lasts for approximately 5 hours. They are currently trying to vie for the newly diagnosed erectile dysfunctional patients. Most doctors will agree that in reality there are very few differences between Viagra and Levitra, so most encourage patients to stick with whatever works for them. Trying or switching male impotency drugs can lead to other headaches, such as new side effects. Levitra seems to work better with diabetics than Viagra, however those on blood pressure medications or those who have prostrate problems shouldn't take it. Cialis, on the other hand, has an efficacy rate of approximately 1 1/2 days. It is currently the biggest seller in Europe. It seems ideal for those who like the spontaneity of love making, without the need of popping a pill first. It too has side effects, in that it has caused numerous complaints of backache or pain.
All 3 are similar in that they act on the same enzyme that allows smooth muscle to relax. The relaxation of the Penis'muscles allows for better blood flow. Also they do not provide sex drive, excitement or limbido. That must be supplied individually. All 3 can't be intermixed with each other and those heart patients taking nitrates cannot use them. Each tablet is priced approximately $10 each and are covered by prescription plans, but are limited to a few tablets each.
All 3 are efficient and they work. Which one you take will be up to what your doctor says and what you feel works best for you. Remember that Levitra and Cialis are newer, so it's possible that additional side effects will be discovered as time goes on. Prudicious use, however, has and will enable those with male impotency to lead satisfying, productive sex lives.
