Occupy ACT
I’ve heard they’re holding protests
Percentages and all that;
I don’t tune into the news all that often –
I couldn’t really tell you what’s going on
It’s called “Occupy…” something-or-other
I’m too occupied with school to care;
Being a senior isn’t as easy as it sounds –
Grades, tests, SATs and, the big one, college
I have to take these tests and stress about school
Because colleges only accept “bright young minds”;
Am I not more than just my test score, my number –
I’m a human being and I bring more to the table
I got an official looking envelope in the mail today
With the ACT logo emblazoned upon it;
I got a 33 composite, one of the best scores in the nation –
I am the 99%.
