A Soldier's words need not be spoke,
A yellow ribbon on the old red oak.
His pride and honor we get to keep,
Our freedom here did not come cheap.
A Soldier's words are hard to swallow,
In our own self pity we seem to wallow.
While he has gone serve for you and I,
His wife and son stay home and cry.
A Soldier's words are kept in his heart,
While at war he does his part.
Putting himself on the front line,
So in the morning we see the sun shine.
Thank you soldier for all you’ve done,
With out you our freedom would not be won.
You’re always in my heart and mind,
My words of gratitude are hard to find.

Poetry: A soldier's words
by Ted Sherman
I am a soldier of the United States.
I am trained to fight for my nation.
I do not consider loves nor hates,

A soldier takes an oath
His first words are his promise
His second words they say "Good bye"
Those words are just as selfless
A Soldier's words need not be spoke,
A yellow ribbon on the old red oak.
His pride and honor we get to keep,
Our freedom here
He said to me,
I'm no hero but a criminal,
Over there Innocents slaughtered,
in the name of freedom like animals,
Capitalism
