You think your job is the world and they need you.
They praise you and give you a pat on the shoulder.
They praise you but do not compensate you for more that you do.
They explain the budget cannot allow them to give you a raise.
They pat you on the shoulder, but expect more from you again.
They disguise their concern with use and use you for their benefit.
They whine of things another worker should be doing and yet another is stuck doing the work.
The whining worker whines and gets their way all the time.
The hard worker is constantly working and committed to do their job.
They say one thing, mean another, and the body language is clearer than their words.
If fairness is not an option in the workplace, discernment and resentment will exist.
Fairness should exist in all jobs no matter the stature or label listed.
No fairness, low morale will rise and people will leave at the first and best opportunity.
