Bad behavior: Is it contagious?

Bad behavior: Is it contagious? This depends on the situation and the person.

#1 Bad Behavior: Bullying, staff splitting, name calling, or intimidation for individuals. Today, bullying, name calling, and intimidation is not acceptable and must be rectified before the problem gets worse. Staff splitting is similar to these bad behaviors but involves co-workers or people at the workplace. These types of bad behavior can be contagious depending on the person's personality and difference of how he or she can handle other peoples baggage and bad behavior.  If the person is able withstand and stand his or her ground to not take the crap, then maybe he or she can overcome these petty indifferences.

#2 Bad Behavior: Disrespectful, interrupting, and condescending. More and more people are disrespectful by interrupting peopel during discussions and speaking to people in a condescending manner. People who disrepect others by interrupting them during a conversation is a form of a bad habit, which can be carried over or contagious to others. If people see this common behavior, they might begin to do the same toward the same person or others. The learned behavior may not be intentional, but it can transfer over.

#3 Bad Behavior: Brat, whiner, and cry baby. In today's workplace the populous of co-workers is diverse in personality, work ethics, race, ethnicity, traditions, and so forth. There are the occasional co-workers that do not do his or her fair share, constantly complains, and whines if he or she does not want to do a certain part of their job. So they complain to their boss, who is higher than yours and forces you to do something you are not supposed to be doing in the first place. This type of bad behavior is not really contagious, but can be an annoyance for several employees and co-workers.

#4 Bad Behavior: Stuffy, stuck-up, and narcissist. Everyone has met someone like this, they consider themselves better than others and know-it-alls where they know everything and you know nothing. Or the narcissist in the group, he or she thinks of themself only and it is all about them only. This type of bad behavior is not necessarily contagious, but it can be annoying, morale lowering, and at times confidence-splitting.

All bad behaviors can be contagious at some point in time, but all in all people are good at heart. Hopefully one day they will move past their stumps and get over it for everyone to enjoy!
